Kate Moss recalls raunchy way then-boyfriend Johnny Depp gave her diamond necklace

Kate Moss has reflected on her relationship with Johnny Depp, sharing an unexpectedly intimate detail about their time together in a new interview.

Opening up to British Vogue, the supermodel recalled the moment the actor gifted her diamonds for the first time, presenting it in a rather raunchy way: from his backside.

“That diamond necklace Johnny gave me, they were the first diamonds I ever owned. He pulled them out of the crack of his arse,” she told the magazine.

Kate Moss recalls diamond necklace gift from Johnny Depp in Vogue interview.

“We were going out to dinner and he said, ‘I’ve got something in my bum, can you have a look?’ And I was like, ‘What?’ and I put my hand down his trousers and I pulled out a diamond necklace. That diamond necklace,” added Moss, who wore the sparkling piece of jewellery to the CFDA Fashion Awards in 1995.

Moss and Depp were one of the most high-profile couples of the ’90s. They met in 1994 after being introduced by a mutual friend in a New York City cafe. The 21 Jump Street star was 31 at the time, while Moss was just 20, but their chemistry was instant.

Another gift from Depp that Moss has cherished over the years is a John Galliano white slip dress she wore to her 21st birthday party at the Viper Room in LA.

“It has travelled with me everywhere over the years,” the supermodel previously told Vogue. “It’s the most perfect dress.”

After four years of dating, the couple called it quits in 1998, with Moss later saying she grieved the relationship for many years after their split.

“Years and years of crying. Oh, the tears!” she told Vanity Fair in 2012. “There’s nobody that’s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said, ‘What do I do?’ he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust.”

Recently, Moss supported Depp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. The British star was embroiled in the saga after Heard mentioned her name in court during the trial, which ran for six weeks between April and June.

In her testimony, the Aquaman actress said an alleged altercation involving Depp, her sister Whitney Henriquez and a staircase reminded her of a rumoured incident between Moss and Depp.

Moss took to the stand to rubbish claims Depp had pushed her down the stairs. Instead, under oath, she explained her then-boyfriend swept her up and carried her to safety when she slipped down a staircase and injured her back during a vacation in Jamaica.

“We were leaving the room and Johnny left the room before I did and there had been a rainstorm, and as I left the room I slipped down the stairs and I hurt my back,” Moss testified via video link from England.

“I screamed because I didn’t know what happened to me and I was in pain and he came running back to help me and carried me to my room and got me medical attention … He never pushed me, kicked me or threw me down any stairs.”
