Drake and 21 Savage have proven to be a dynamic duo whenever they link up for a track. The rap stars gave listeners a taste of their music magic back in Fall 2016 when they released their first-ever collaboration, “Sneakin.'” The pair have been close ever since then, and now they’re finally releasing a long-awaited collaborative album on Friday, “Her Loss.”
The album’s announcement came from Drake and 21’s latest collab, “Jimmy Cooks,” which Drake dropped in June on his “Honestly, Nevermind” project. The menacing rap track, also a light nod to Drake’s famous “Degrassi” character, was a standout because it was the album’s only non-dance song and Drake’s only guest feature. So, of course, fans welcomed the accompanying visual when Drake dropped it by surprise on Oct. 22. “HER LOSS ALBUM BY DRAKE AND 21 SAVAGE OCTOBER 28, 2022” flashes across the screen halfway through the near-three minute video.
Though Drake and 21 Savage pushed the collaborative album’s release date back a week on account of its producer, Noah “40” Shebib, catching COVID-19, it’s given fans just enough time to revisit some of their old work together in preparation for the forthcoming project. Ahead of “Her Loss”‘s Nov. 4 release, listen to all of Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborations.
