But besides this, there’s been tons of other standouts looks. In 1985 alone, Tina Turner turned heads in a whimsical minidress while Madonna was her peak Madonna-ness in a sexy black dress with matching gloves and lots of layered chain necklaces.

Mariah Carey took home the awards for Female Artist in the Soul/ R&B category dazzling in a plunging studded minidress with sheer stockings that was just so early ’90s. And in 2016, Chrissy Teigen slayed in a barely-there dress with a high-slit being held together by a single pin.
