The Indian season of the science-fiction television series Citadel, which is available on Prime Video, will star Varun Dhawan. The JugJugg Jeeyo actor is making his online debut with this project. The original show’s creators, the Russo Brothers, published the first image of Varun’s character earlier today on social media. Showrunners and directors for the next show will be Raj and DK, who are best known for developing the popular web series The Family Man. Filming for Varun’s science fiction series is scheduled to start in January of next year.
Taking to Instagram, The Russo Brother wrote: “We are thrilled to officially announce that we will be bringing you the Indian instalment of the Citadel universe. The local Original spy series will start filming in January 2023.”
Following Varun’s statement, his followers couldn’t contain their joy and expressed it in the comments section. The actor’s co-stars Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor as well as others in the industry responded to the actor’s Citadel news.
Alia Bhatt wrote, “This huge! Killing it you guys,” while sharing the post on her story. While Janhvi put a fire emoji sticker, and shared Dhawan’s look.
