Kate Hudson Celebrates Son Ryder’s Birthday With Video of Him Impersonating Harry Styles

In addition to celebrating her oldest son turning 19 on Jan. 7, Kate Hudson also revealed Ryder Robinson has a hidden talent: he does a spot-on impression of Harry Styles. In honor of Robinson’s birthday, the “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” actor shared a carousel of photos and videos of her son on Instagram. While most of the photos featured Robinson hanging out with his mom and siblings, one video revealed her eldest son amusing someone with his impression of Styles.

“What does your sign say, love?” he asks to the amusement of a giggling child off camera. “Harry, will you have my baby? Oh, stop it. OK, I will, because I’m f*cking Harry Styles.”

The moment seems to capture Robinson’s sense of humor, which his proud mom praises in her tribute to him. “Born on a full moon in cancer, this young man has my whole heart ❤️ Hilarious, loving, kind, loyal, sensitive,” Hudson wrote. “Ryder my sweet son, I love celebrating the day you were born.”

She continued, “Your birth changed all of our lives forever and has brought so much joy and laughter daily. I love you infinity x infinity x 3 trillion cubed.”

Hudson shares Robinson with her ex, musician Chris Robinson. She’s also mom to 11-year-old Bingham (whom she shares with singer Matt Bellamy), and 4-year-old Rani (whose dad is Danny Fujikawa). In December 2022, the actor revealed that her eldest going off to college has been a big adjustment for her and her family.

“Ugh, it’s so hard,” she told “Sunday Today” of adjusting to Robinson no longer living with her full time. “All you want is your kid to thrive and be happy, but man, when I’m in LA and I go to the coffee machine in the morning and I don’t hear his voice – it’s a big one.”

That no doubt explains the final video in Hudson’s tribute carousel. In the clip, all three of her kids are together in her car as she points to Robinson and sings, “Happy mommy, happy mommy, got all my babies, I’m a hap-happy mommy because this baby came back.”
