Alexander Ludwig and Wife Lauren Are Expecting a Baby After Experiencing Pregnancy Losses

Alexander and Lauren Ludwig shared happy news with their fans on Instagram on Feb. 10. The “Hunger Games” star and his wife are expecting their first child in May after experiencing three pregnancy losses in the past.

Both of the expectant parents shared the same photo on their respective grids. In the pic, the pair stand in front of a mirror with Alexander placing his hands on Lauren’s baby bump. The “Vikings” star used his caption to thank his fans for always supporting him and his wife on their journey to becoming parents.

“It’s been a long road, and we wanted to wait until things were looking promising this time around. Thank you guys for all of the support. We couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️ and if you were wondering… yam is stoked,” he wrote. “@laurendludwig Baby Ludwig coming May 2023 🥹❤️.”

He continued, “As a lot of you know it’s been a long road for @alexanderludwig and myself. We suffered 3 losses before this one but each one of those losses taught us about ourselves and each other. To everyone out there who has suffered miscarriages before, there is light on the other side of your journey. You are not alone.” Lauren shared the same message of hope on her post.

The comment sections on the couple’s posts quickly filled with well wishes from their famous friends. “Magic girl creating life, in your soul & in your body ✨,” Debby Ryan wrote. Meanwhile, Vanessa Hudgens commented, “Omg congratulations!!!!!!! Da bubbaaaaaa,” and Nina Dobrev added, “Omg yay!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰 congrats to you both!” “Outer Banks” star Chase Stokes even jumped in to offer up his babysitting services. “Hello manny reporting for duty,” the “Outer Banks” actor Chase Stokes wrote.

Alexander and Lauren first shared their relationship with the world in July 2020, when they went Instagram official. In November of the same year, Alexander proposed, and the couple eloped not long after. In May 2022, Lauren revealed that she had three miscarriages in an emotional post on Instagram.

“I decided I wanted to share because I don’t think it’s a shameful thing to talk about. I want to help others realize how common miscarriages are and how they aren’t something to be embarrassed about,” she wrote. “Going through this has made me realize, I definitely am not alone. It’s so common and yet, I feel its not talked about nearly enough. If more of us talked about these things, maybe we would feel less alone and at fault. Information is power and I want to start sharing more of it. This will forever be a part of our story. My hope by sharing this, if for no other reason, is for that one person reading this to know they are not alone.”

Alexander praised his wife in the comments, writing, “I’m so proud to call you my wife, you amaze me every day with your resilience strength and just love of life. We got this baby.”
