Keke Palmer Has Welcomed Her First Child: “Born During Black History Month, With a Name to Match”

Keke Palmer is a mom! The 29-year-old actor gave birth to her first child, a baby boy named Leodis Andrellton Jackson, with boyfriend Darius Jackson on Feb. 25, Palmer announced on Instagram on Monday.

In a series of pictures, Palmer gave fans a look at her son’s first days, writing, “Born during Black History Month, with a name to match 😄! LEODIS ANDRELLTON JACKSON, welcome to the world baby Leo.” She also added: “The baby love Rolling Ray, cause purrr.”

Palmer and Jackson first met in May 2021, and they began dating shortly after. While the couple prefers to keep their romance out of the spotlight, Palmer surprised fans when she announced that she was pregnant when she hosted “Saturday Night Live” back in December 2022. “There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight – I am!” she said, referencing the speculation at the time that she was expecting. She then pulled open her jacket to reveal her growing belly to the crowd.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Jan. 25, Palmer discussed her baby’s astrological sign with host Jimmy Fallon. “My baby is either going to be a Pisces or an Aries,” she said, teasing that the baby would arrive sometime in the late winter or early spring. Palmer added, “Pisces are known to be very deep, they’re emotional creatures, so I just want to make sure I’m not too blunt for my baby boy.” Well, it looks like baby Leo is officially a Pisces!
