Comedian Eric André has shared all the details behind those nude photos he snapped with Emily Ratajkowski.
André, 39, has decidedly called the photo “art” and “a happy accident” in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.
The pair shared the snap on Valentine’s Day, hard-launching their relationship, which has since ended.
“I was really in the moment… drinking wine, and she started dying laughing, and she was like, ‘I have to take a picture of this,'” the comedian recalled.
“We both started cracking up. We both agreed this was a beautiful image that we had to share with the world.
“It was one of those things. I think that’s what art is about. Art is not intellectual; it’s primal. It has to speak to your hormones as much as it speaks to your mind.”
At the time, the announcement of the pair’s coupling shocked many, with fans questioning what the model “saw” in André.
The comedian didn’t dance around the point, and sent a message about society’s flawed concept of attraction in relationships.

“I think that people think attraction is only based on physical appearance, but beauty is only skin-deep… Comedy works.”
He went on to point out the famous relationships of some other major comedians, including Colin Jost, who is married to Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson and John Mulaney, who has had a baby with actress Olivia Munn.
Just three days after the photos were shared, Ratajkowski shared a TikTok that made fans think things were over with André.
“What should you do when a situationship ends?” she asked fans in the video. “Start another one” she added.
