Recently, the news of Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri was surfacing everywhere. Now, Filmmaker Karan Johar stated that his production house Dharma Productions is not making the film.
Karan took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday and wrote, “To put this on the record and for all concerned we (Dharma Productions) are NOT making a film with the title DHADAK 2 as is being reported in various articles…”
On Monday, it was reported that Dhadak 2 will feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in lead roles and it will be directed by debutant filmmaker Shazia Iqbal. It was also said that Karan is all set to make Dhadak into a franchise.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Karan is all set to mark his comeback as director after seven years with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahan alongside Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film is slated to be released in cinemas on July 28.
