Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again recently got release day. After the success of Singham and Singham Returns, the duo are back along with Deepika Padukone for Singham’s third instalment which reportedly went on floors in August this year.
According to multiple reports, the makers have scheduled a release date, which has been changed from its initial plan of releasing during Diwali 2024. The new release date has been moved to Independence Day 2024, which falls on a Thursday, giving the film an extended weekend at the box office. Additionally, the film will benefit from the Raksha Bandhan holiday on Monday, providing it with an added advantage during the holiday period.
Director Rohit Shetty had previously announced that the film would commence filming in April 2023, with Deepika playing the lead role. Recent reports suggest that the movie will also feature special appearances by Akshay Kumar from Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh from Simmba.
At the beginning of 2023, Ajay Devgn took to Instagram and wrote, “Made a good start to the New Year with @itsrohitshetty ‘s narration of Singham Again. The script I heard is (lit). God willing this will be our 11th blockbuster.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay Devgn will next appear in Maidaan and in Neeraj Pandey’s Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha with Tabu.
Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. She also has Project K with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
