Kate Moss brought her daughter Lila Moss with her as her date to the 2023 Met Gala on May 1. The pair posed together on the red carpet, both of them wearing flowing gowns in light, peach colors. Lila’s featured peach fur, while Kate’s seemed like an ode to the classic ’90s slip dress.
Kate, 49, is one of the best known supermodels of the 1990s, and Lila, 20, is following in her mom’s footsteps. She started modeling in 2018 and walked in Paris Fashion Week for the first time in 2021. Lila, who has Type 1 diabetes, made headlines that year for walking with her insulin pump visible during Versace’s show. In August 2022, Lila modeled for Calvin Klein, in a throwback to her mom’s iconic 1992 campaign for the brand. This February, Lila was also named an ambassador for YSL Beauty.
Kate and Lila – her only child, who she shares with ex Jefferson Hack – also attended the Met Gala together in 2022. In a March 2023 video for Vogue, Lila opened up about how she’s often mimicking her mom’s iconic style. “It’s so funny because I copy her outfits consistently,” she explained. “Always wearing black and gray, like, skinny jeans, dressing like her.” When her mom compliments her outfits, Lila is always reminding her that it’s her own clothes she’s wearing.
Lila also revealed the one thing they can’t share: shoes. “She’s a size 6 and I’m a size 5, and it’s one of my biggest regrets,” Lila said in the video.
