Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner embrace trackside at F1 Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia after controversy

Geri Halliwell and Christian Horner put on another united display at the F1 Grand Prix in Saudi Arabia after weeks of rumours and controversy.

The former Spice Girl arrived in Jeddah to support her husband, the Red Bull team principal, after flying to Bahrain for the season opener last week.

Halliwell donned a stunning ivory outfit as she watched trackside, standing next to her husband and Adrian Newey, the Chief Technical Officer of Oracle Red Bull Racing.

She was seen smiling as she entered the Red Bull hospitality suite before the event.

At one point, Horner even leaned in to embrace his wife at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit as they watched on from the sidelines.

Halliwell has continued to show her support for Horner after he was embroiled in a controversy that saw him accused of inappropriate and “coercive” behaviour towards a female staffer.

Alleged leaked messages were then distributed to members of the F1 community earlier this month, containing a Google drive of WhatsApp messages. It was anonymously emailed to notable race officials, teams and journalists around the world.

Phil Duncan – CNN Contributor and F1 correspondent for the Press Association – received the drive in an email from an unknown account.

“We had the investigation and Christian Horner was effectively exonerated by Red Bull’s parent company, but then the WhatsApp messages landed last night to almost 150 members of the Formula 1 paddock, which included all the nine other team principles, the FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem, the F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali and members of the media too,” Duncan told CNN Sport on Friday.

“It’s an investigation for Horner which he may have thought was over on Wednesday night when he arrived but has obviously changed dramatically 24 hours later.”

Two days ago, Horner broke his silence on the matter and thanked his wife for her ongoing support.

“My wife has been hugely supportive, as has my family, but the intrusion on my family is now enough, and we need to move forward and focus on what we are here for,” Horner said.
