Olivia Munn has revealed a “big decision” she made amid her breast cancer battle.
In a recent interview with Vogue the star shared she had a full hysterectomy last month.
“I have now had an oophorectomy and hysterectomy. I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries,” she told the outlet.

The surgery marks the fifth since Munn was diagnosed with an “aggressive” luminal B cancer in both breasts in April 2023.
The New Girl star opted to have a hysterectomy rather than stay on Lupron which is used to treat cancer.
“It was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family,” Munn explained her decision.
Munn shares a two-year-old son Malcolm with her partner, comedian John Mulaney.

“I had friends try to cheer me up by saying, ‘Malcolm’s not going to remember this. Don’t worry.’ But I just kept thinking to myself, ‘I’m going to remember this, that I missed all these things.'”
“It’s his childhood, but it’s my motherhood, and I don’t want to miss any of these parts if I don’t have to,” she said.
Sharing her new Vogue interview to Instagram, the star said the hysterectomy was her “hopefully final” surgery amid her diagnosis.

“I hope by sharing this it helps other women who are fighting this terrible disease feel less alone,” she said.
In the same interview the now 42-year-old actress revealed that she had her eggs frozen again after her cancer diagnosis last year.
The star first had her eggs frozen when she was 33 and again at age 39.
“After my diagnosis, we decided to try one more round of egg retrievals and hoped it was a good month,” she shared her and Mulaney’s decision.
“John and I talked about it a lot and we don’t feel like we’re done growing our family, but didn’t know if I would have to do chemotherapy or radiation,”
Munn revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in a heartbreaking Instagram post in March.
The star underwent a double mastectomy after a biopsy showed she had an “aggressive, fast-moving cancer.”
