WATCH: Sabrina Carpenter almost hit by fireworks mid-performance

From wardrobe malfunctions to technical difficulties, concertgoers have seen it all.

Rising pop star Sabrina Carpenter is the latest to join the slew of musicians who have a mishap on stage after a very close encounter with some fireworks.

The 25-year-old pop star was performing at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco wearing a blue mini-dress and platform boots when she she stood a bit too close to the pyrotechnics.

A video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) caught the exact moment Carpenter was dancing atop a set of steps on stage before the fireworks went off right behind her.

The singer shrieked and covered her mouth before quickly bolting down the stairs away from the pyrotechnics.

At one point the star appeared to say “oh my god” as the fireworks continued to go off.

People in the comments section expressed concern for the star, with some suggesting it looks like she was actually hit by some of the flying sparks.

While the pop star has not yet addressed the incident, she did thanks fans who attended her festival headlining performance on social media shortly after.

“headlined @outsidelands 😮 thank you to everyone who came,” she wrote to Instagram.

Carpenter then thanked “angel” country music star Kasey Musgraves who she brought out mid-set to sing These Boots Are Made for Walkin by Nancy Sinatra.

“And thank you to my whole team and crew. All the talented people who made this show happen on and off stage, I love you all so much,” she signed off.

Carpenter, who started on Disney, has had a massive rise to fame over the last few months after the release of her smash hit singles Espresso and Please Please Please. 

Her highly anticipated new album Short ‘N Sweet comes out August 23.

In February, the pop star joined Taylor Swift as a support act on the Australian leg of her majorly successful Eras Tour in Melbourne and Sydney.

The Purpose singer has also been making headlines of late for her relationship with actor Barry Keoghan which she hard-launched in her Please Please Please music video.
