It seems there might be a bit of tension brewing between two of the biggest names in the fashion world – supermodel Naomi Campbell and Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour.
As reported by various US outlets and seen in video footage, the two made slight digs at one another in speeches at Harlem’s Fashion Row Fashion Show and Style Awards on Tuesday.
“I am a very punctual person, and I have the honuor of presenting tonight to someone who is often late,” Wintour, 74, began.

Campbell, 54, cheekily responded in her speech: “Everything’s going to work out the way it’s going to work out. It wasn’t my choice to have the other woman [Wintour].”
“I’d much rather have this,” she added, pointing and referring to Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr, who presented the fashion icon award to her.
TMZ reports Campbell wasn’t actually late to the fashion event that evening, but claims Wintour moved up the presentation to head to the US Open.

However, according to Page Six, Campbell did praise Wintour in her speech for supporting her career back in the early days.
She reportedly added: “We must still say thank you to Anna Wintour, as she did take the time to come here and give me the award even though I wasn’t here.”

Campbell, who hails from London, is one of the most iconic supermodels of all time.
She reportedly said in the docuseries on Apple TV+, called The Super Models, in the early days of her career, she would often struggle to get booked for a modelling job or struggle to get the same money as her counterparts after heading to the US.
She reportedly said in the docuseries that her mother warned her about racism.
“What the white model was getting, I wanted it too,” she said on the show.
“I started to understand, culturally, that I was gonna have to work really hard to feel accepted.”
