Bocelli made headlines in July for bringing a special guest on stage for his performance in London’s Hyde Park: his 12-year-old daughter, Virginia Bocelli.
“Next, I’m going to introduce a little girl. Her name is Virginia and she is my daughter,” he told the crowd, welcoming Virginia to join him on stage.
“We will do the song that we both do at home, OK? But now it’s more important to sing well,” he said.

The father-daughter duo performed Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.
Bocelli shares sons Amos, 29, and Matteo, 27, with his first wife Enrica Cenzatti, and daughter Virginia with his second wife Veronica Berti.
From a young age Bocelli endured ill health, following a congenital glaucoma diagnosis. He underwent his first eye operation at just eight months of age.
Much of his early childhood was spent in hospital, where doctors were able to save 10 per cent of the sight in one eye. However, at age 12, Bocelli lost his eyesight during a football incident that caused him to suffer a brain haemorrhage.
