During a media interaction, Salman Khan spoke about his upcoming film Sikandar, but he didn’t limit the conversation to work. Opening up about his private life, Salman also shared anecdotes about his parents.
Salman Khan shared how his grandfather had reacted when his mother Salma Khan decided to go back to Salman’s nana’s (maternal grandfather) house after a nok jhok (argument) with his dad Salim Khan.
Salman said, “When my mom (Salma) and dad (Salim) got married, their religions and cultures were different, but the issue was not about Hindu-Muslim. The problem was that my father was from the film industry. So my nana had a problem that Salim saab was from the film industry. Five years later, after marriage, when my brother Sohail was born and when my grandfather got to know my father, he loved him and he said ‘meri life ki sabse badi galti ye hui hai ki… in these five years, I have wasted time by not being with Salim’.”

Salman continued narrating the memory as he said, “Once, after a nok-jhok (argument) with my father, my mother went to my grandfather’s house. He said, ‘Yahan zaroor aao par tumhari arthi usi ghar se nikalni chahiye’.” Salman then added, “Rishton mei pyar mohabbat zaroori hai.”
Salman Khan’s Sikandar is all set to release on Eid, March 30. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss and features Rashmika Mandana, Kajal Aggarwal and Prateik Smita Patil in key roles.
