Turns out playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan has been carrying a little secret for years, and she finally let it slip on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. In a new promo released by SonyLIV, the singer gets nostalgic while sitting across Amitabh Bachchan, telling the legendary actor that she has watched him play countless roles over the decades. Then comes the fun confession: she reveals that Bachchan was like Santa Claus to her growing up and, more surprisingly, was also her first crush.

“We have seen you in so many different avatars. You are Santa Claus to me. You were my first crush,” Sunidhi says in the promo. Bachchan, true to his trademark dry wit, is quick to respond. He jokingly asks why she chose to reveal the secret now instead of telling him when it could have actually made a difference.
“Aapko humpe crush tha, yeh ab bata rahi hain aap, tab nahi bataya,” the veteran actor quips, leaving Sunidhi and those around them amused.
Adding a musical touch to the moment, Sunidhi goes on to perform a soulful rendition of Yeh Mera Dil from Don(2006). Sunidhi is not the only celebrity to have spoken about her admiration for Bachchan. Vidya Balan has also openly described the veteran actor as a lifelong admiration and celebrity crush, recalling how overwhelming it was to share screen space with him in Paa.
Known for chartbusters such as Dhoom Machale, Crazy Kiya Re and Sheila Ki Jawani, Sunidhi has also lent her voice to energetic tracks including Kamli and Ainvayi Ainvayi, as well as soulful numbers such as Beedi and Aa Bhi Ja.
Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is set to return as part of the cast of Kalki 2, the sequel to Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The film stars Prabhas in the lead and also features Kamal Haasan.
