Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner have announced the name of their baby girl.
The reveal comes weeks after the 37-year-old soccer star and Georgina Rodríguez shared the sad news that one of their twins, a son, had died.
Rodríguez posted a series of sweet photos of the pair’s surviving baby girl on Instagram on Saturday, writing, “Bella Esmeralda 💚 180422.”

On April 18, the parents informed the public their newborn twin son had died.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” Ronaldo wrote via Instagram.
“It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.”
“We are all devastated at this loss. and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”

Last week, the soccer star posted a touching tribute to his late son on Instagram.
Ronaldo shared a heartbreaking picture of himself holding the baby in his arms alongside the caption, “Forever Love…❤️🙏🏽.”
He has also shared a photo of his daughter, alongside his family, after they took her home from hospital.
“Home sweet home. Gio and our baby girl are finally together with us. We want to thank everyone for all the kind words and gestures,” he wrote.
“Your support is very important and we all felt the love and respect that you have for our family. Now it’s time to be grateful for the life that we’ve just welcomed into this world.”

In the photo, Ronaldo sat alongside Rodriguez, his son Cristiano Jr, 11, twins Eva and Mateo, four, Alana, also four, and newborn Bella.
Alana was Ronaldo’s first child with his partner Georgina, before the couple announced they were welcoming twins in October 2021.
