After much teasing, the first full-length trailer of Jug Jugg Jeeyo is out. The highly anticipated Raj Mehta directorial features a star-studded cast, including Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul, and Prajakta Koli. The film is described as a family drama that revolves around three generations of a Punjabi family as the members navigate the ups and downs of married life.
The trailer opens with Varun Dhawan’s Kuku and Kiara Advani’s Naina whose marriage is on the rocks as they mutually express their wish for a divorce. We then find out that Kuku wants to wait till his younger sister Ginny (played by Prajakta Koli) is married to announce the sad news. We then meet Anil Kapoor’s Bheem who opens up about his marriage woes and reveals that he wants to divorce Kuku’s mother Geeta (played by Neetu Kapoor). We’re also introduced to Maniesh Paul’s Gurpreet Singh.

Jug Jugg Jeeyo’s trailer teases a tonne of secrets, hilarious run-ins, and, of course, family drama. While the film is a comedy, it is poised to tackle complex dysfunctional marriages and the subject of divorce.
The film’s official synopsis reads: – Jug Jugg Jeeyo is a story set in the heart of Patiala, and much like the city, it’s full of love and laughter, colour and drama. It’s about family and its values, unresolved yearnings, and unexpected reconciliations.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo is Varun Dhawan and Kiara Avani’s first collaboration and the actor’s return to the big screen after the pandemic. Advani was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor had made headlines for his latest film, neo-western Thar which arrived on OTT this year. It will be interesting to see the actors come together onscreen.
Jug Jugg Jeeyo arrives in cinemas on June 24 this year.
