Among the many milestones in her intriguing filmography, Alia Bhatt has now turned producer with Darlings. The upcoming film is co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan who has now shared his excitement and, perhaps nervousness, about the project.
Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Lil one I am also so anxious that u shared the responsibility of Eternal Sunshine Productions’ first film with me… that I will be biting my nails till it releases. But I feel we have a lovely film and u r the soul and sunshine of all things Darlings.”

Replying to the tweet, Alia Bhatt shared some appreciation for Shah Rukh Khan. She wrote, “And you are my eternal favourite actor/person/producer ever! Thank you for doing this with me … and post the release we can both get a manicure and pedicure since all the nails will be bitten haha! Love you the most!!!!”

Darlings is a dark comedy that also casts Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew. The film is directed by Jasmeet K Reen. The film’s synopsis reads, “Badru hopes her volatile husband will reform if he stops drinking. However, when his rage goes too far, she and her mom boldly, albeit clumsily, seek revenge.”
The film will release on August 5 this year.
