Keke Palmer has her eyes set on playing Rapunzel in a hypothetical live-action film about the princess. Luckily, the “Nope” star has a history of asking for roles – and landing them. In fact, Palmer actually reached out for her parts in “Insecure” and the “Sister Act 3” film, proving her long list of talents also includes the power of persuasion.

Before appearing in “Insecure”‘s fifth season, she tweeted at Issa Rae, saying, “Hey @IssaRae there’s been a mix up. I posted about my excitement for season 5 of ‘Insecure’ and now everyone thinks I’m gonna be on it. We can’t let them down, put me in to beat Condola’s ass real quick.” And for her role in “Sister Act 3,” she took her ask directly to Whoopi Goldberg when she guest starred on “The View.”

This time, Palmer is manifesting her dream role a bit more casually. Amid the conversation around Halle Bailey’s casting as the live-action Ariel in “The Little Mermaid,” one of Palmer’s fans tweeted, “I want Keke Palmer to play live action Rapunzel with 100ft box braids.”

On Instagram, Palmer shared a screenshot of the fan message alongside the caption, “The internet already has me booked all next year. I’m not available until 2024 at this pace.”

There’s long been rumors about a live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated version of Rapunzel’s story, “Tangled,” but the film has yet to make it on Disney’s slate of in-the-works projects. Those currently slated for upcoming release include “Snow White” and “Hercules.”
