“Hi there. It’s with immense sadness that [we] have decided to separate,” they said.

“While this is a tough time, our focus is to concentrate on parenting, loving and supporting our three amazing children, Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything we’ve got. They are doing great. We won’t be making any further comment at this stage.”

Two years earlier, Bickmore lost her first husband, Greg Lange, to brain cancer. Lange, the father of Bickmore’s first child Ollie, died in December 2010 at the age of 35 following a 10-year battle.

Bickmore and Walker welcomed two children throughout the course of their relationship: Evie, born in 2015, and Adelaide, born in 2018.

News of their split comes just two months after Bickmore, 42, announced she was leaving The Project after 13 years. She said she was stepping back for good so she could spend more time with her family.

“I have made the tough decision to finish up hosting the show at the end of the year,” she said. “It’s been the hardest decision of my professional life to make this call, but it’s time for a new challenge and my next chapter.”

Walker responded on Instagram with a celebratory post.

“She was no doubt, and always will be, the captain of that show,” he said. “But, she is also the captain of our little family and she lights up our lives even more than she lights up a studio.

“What an unbelievable ride it’s been for you babe. We all love you and can’t wait for what’s next.”
