The Patridge family. The Hills alum Audrina Patridge comes from a large brood — she is one of four siblings — and her family has only increased after welcoming her daughter, Kirra, as well as her siblings’ children over the years.
The former MTV personality gave birth to her only child, whom she shares with ex-husband Corey Bohan, in June 2016. Audrina and the BMX rider tied the knot five months later and called it quits in September 2017. Two years later, the reality star was granted a temporary restraining order against her ex after accusing him of domestic abuse, which he denied.
In October 2021, the former couple finalized their custody agreement. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly at the time, Audrina was granted sole physical custody of Kirra, while she and the Australia native split legal custody.
“I try to keep it strictly just about my daughter,” the Choices: To The Hills and Back Again author exclusively told Us about her coparenting relationship with Bohan in June 2022. “It’s almost like business. Like, I only respond or write to him on the Talking Parents app, if it’s about our daughter and that’s it.”
In addition to sharing dozens of sweet photos of Kirra via social media, Audrina also frequently gushes about her other family members online: parents Lynn and Mark Patridge, sisters Casey Loza and Samantha Patridge and brother Mark Patridge Jr, as well as all of her nieces and nephews. The Patridges were all briefly featured on Audrina’s short-lived, titular reality show, which aired for one season in 2011.
Tragically, the family was faced with an unimaginable loss in February 2023 when Audrina’s sister Casey revealed that her daughter, Sadie, died at age 15.
“Sadie Raine Loza has left this Earth for the heavens,” Casey — who also shares two other children with husband Kyle Loza — wrote via Instagram on Valentine’s Day 2023. “Writing this was the hardest thing I ever have had to do, not knowing the right words I’ll leave you with this, Sadie liked to remind me that the first law of thermodynamics aka (Law of Conservation of Energy) works in all spheres of life. ‘Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.’”
Casey, who celebrated her daughter’s 15th birthday via Instagram one week prior, noted: “Transformation is a better word than death. Her story will save countless lives, her memory will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace you brilliant starseed. You’re with your creator. We will miss you dearly. I love you.”
Audrina, for her part, mourned her niece in a heartbreaking tribute.
“My heart hurts to even write this,” the California alum penned alongside a slideshow of photos with Sadie. “My beautiful niece is now in heaven. I know Its not goodbye forever, but it is the hardest to say goodbye for now. We will miss you and cherish every single moment we had with you. Rest in peace Say Say!! We love you forever & ever!
