‘Talk is cheap’: Brian Austin Green blasts ex Vanessa Marcil’s claims she raised their son on her own

Brian Austin Green has called out his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil for saying he was an absent father to their son, Kassius.

The actor – who starred alongside Marcil on the teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 – was outraged over the weekend when his actress ex claimed she raised their son alone.

The comment he took issue with was one Marcil, 54, left on her Instagram Stories after a fan asked about her experience co-parenting with Green, 49.

“We didn’t & don’t co-parent. I raised my son alone,” Marcil replied as she shared a throwback photo of herself and Kassius, now 20.

Green responded almost immediately, sharing a screenshot of Marcil’s post overlaid with his own caption.

“I can’t tell you all how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+ year old woman on social media like she is still in high school,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk. Talk is cheap.”

In his clapback, Green also praised his now-ex-wife Megan Fox, who he says helped him raise Kassius along with their own three sons: Noah, 10, Bodhi, nine, and Journey, six.

“Megan and I bust our asses to give Kass a well rounded childhood since his mom was rarely there. I’m assuming that’s why she posts so much of him now. When will she just GO AWAY,” added Green, who met Marcil on the set of 90210 in 1998. They began dating the following year and were engaged in 2002 before splitting up in 2003.

Green is now dating former Aussie dancer and Dancing with the Stars pro Sharna Burgess, who gave birth to their first child – his fifth – last June.

Marcil’s post comes as a surprise given in 2021, she posted about Kassius going to support his dad when he competed on DWTS that season. He was partnered up with Burgess and they began dating shortly after the series wrapped.

“Headed to see dad. #TeamGreen @dancingabc,” Marcil captioned a photo on Instagram of Kassius leaving home for the taping.

However, in 2018 she claimed Green had “decided to completely cut Kass out” of his life following a lengthy battle for custody, in which he and Fox were unsuccessful in their attempt to get full custody of Kassius.
