Veteran actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away this March, today on his birth anniversary, Anil Kapoor took to Instagram and paid a heartwarming homage to the late actor.
Remembering Satish Kaushik, his friend and actor Anil Kapoor shared a video compilation of the movies featuring the two together such as Mr India (1987), Ram Lakhan (1989), Fanney Khan (2018) and Thar (2022).
Anil featured a number of Satish’s well-known quotes and moments from their films, like Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai, Gharwali Baharwali, and others, in his ode to the actor on the occasion of his birthday. He also put snippets from Satish’s movies, such as Deewana Mastana, in which he played Pappu Pager.
Sharing the video, Anil Kapoor wrote, “While I sit here trying to find the right words or just any words really to express what I feel right now…I want to fill books telling you what you mean to me but I know you already knew that…in the 3 mins of this video, I relived so many of our memories.”
He added, “I wish we had more time…I wish I could call you and tell you just one more time how lucky I am to have you in my life….I miss you beyond words Satish…I pray that everyone has a friend like you in their life because you were a true blessing…Happy Birthday my friend…”
Satish Kaushik is best remembered for his roles in movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Mr India and Mr and Mrs Khiladi, among many others. His most popular films as a director include Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain, Tere Naam, and Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai.
