Billy Butcher and Homelander clash in The Boys Season 4âs bloody trailer

After a two-year gap and a spin-off series, The Boys is all set to return with a fourth season. Adapted from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s best-selling comic, the series features Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty and more.

The trailer for The Boys Season 4 is out and it teases Billy Butcher’s (Karl Urban) final high-stakes mission. In a desperate attempt to take down Homelander (Antony Starr) and end his bloody power trip, he reaches out for help.

The trailer teases plenty of action and gore. We also get a glimpse of the supes-killing virus which made an appearance in the spin-off series Gen V.

The official synopsis reads, “In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”

The Boys Season 4 will also feature Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Cameron Crovetti.

The show will release on June 13.
