Armaan Bhatia soars high on Day 3 of the PWR DUPR India Masters 

Energy and enthusiasm were at an all-time high at the PWR DUPR India Masters, as India’s Armaan Bhatia managed to secure a spot in his third Finals match of the tournament. At the high-intensity semi-final match on Saturday at the Delhi Lawn Tennis Association (DLTA), Armaan, along with his Mixed Doubles partner Roos Van Reek, secured a win in the semifinals by defeating the Indian-Australian duo of Vishal Masand and Sarah Burr. After two days of intense battle in the Pro (Open) Men’s Singles and Doubles categories, Armaan who had already secured his place in two finals on Sunday, October 27, and this third semifinal win only goes to show his unmatchable prowess at the game.

Talking about his upcoming matches tomorrow, Armaan said, “I am looking forward to playing against Danni (E Townsend) during our Pro (Open) Mixed Doubles tomorrow. We have some fun banter on the court, so the game will be fun.” He added, “Winning all three matches tomorrow will definitely be my favourite thing!”

Competition galore

In the Pro division on Day 3, fans witnessed India’s Armaan Bhatia and the Netherlands’ Roos Van Reek play their best games of pickleball ever, as they defeated the Indian-Australian duo Vishal Masand and Sarah Burr in an impressive 11-5 in the first game and an 11-1 in the second. Also qualifying for the finals were the Australian pair of George Wall and Danni E. Townsend, who won their matches fair and square against Australian-American pair of Emilia Schmidt and Casey Diamond, who put up a tough fight. Wall and Townsend scored 11-8 and 11-9 in the nail-biting semifinal as they finally secured the win.

“Day 3 of the PWR DUPR India Masters is a testament to the fact that India will reach the stars when it comes to pickleball.
