American country music singer Lainey Wilson says fellow superstar Keith Urban often gives her “some of the best advice”.
Speaking exclusively to 9honey Celebrity, the 4x4xU hitmaker, 32, gushes about Urban’s musical talents and calls him ”a good dude”.
“Keith Urban has become a dear friend and has given me some of the best advice. Every time I see him or run into him, he’s like, ‘Let me drop a load of wisdom on ya!'” she says with a laugh.
“But I tell you what, every time I leave his presence, I’m like typing in my phone, ‘Keith Urban said this…’ He’s full of wisdom and has had such a long incredible career.

“It’s clearly because of his talent and also because of who he is. He’s just a good dude and he loves country music, his fans.
“He gives it 190 per cent, he never half-arses anything, and that’s what I love about him.
“He’s going to continue sharing his gift until he can’t share it no more.”
They recently collaborated on the track, GO HOME W U, and performed together at the CMA Fest.

Wilson, who recently played shows in Australia, is celebrating the release of her latest album, Whirlwind, and says it’s some of “the best stuff we’ve ever done”.
One of the tracks on the album is Good Horses, with country icon Miranda Lambert.
Wilson says working with Lambert was “so much fun” and that the singer, 40, is not only a “badass,” but also has given her some great advice.
“She told me, ‘Know who you are and stick to it’ and it seems so simple but I can see, you get pulled in a million different directions in life… but deep down, I know who I am, and I keep my people close,” Wilson says.
“I know what I stand for and what I don’t, and I know how I want to treat people and how I want to be treated and as long as I stick to that, [but] there’s always room for growth.
“Miranda has influenced a lot of what I do.”
Wilson says Lambert is like her “country music big sister”.

“She’s just a badass, she does things her own way, marches to the beat of her own drum and I love people like that, I love people that are who they are.
“She’s kind of become like my country music big sister.”
“She reaches out for me and checks on me, like, ‘How’s your head and your heart?’ and has showed me the ropes… she pours into me,” Wilson continues.
“And it shows me how to teach the ones coming up. You’ve got to have women you can lean on not only in this business but life in general.
“We already knew we had a lot in common, but writing this song together, it was like dang, we have those gypsy spirts… and we know the importance of coming home and planting your feet and reminding yourself what it’s all about.”
Lainey Wilson’s new album Whirlwind is out now.
