Quincy Jones was not only a legendary record producer, but also a proud father.
The music giant welcomed seven children before he died at age 91 in November 2024. “Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing. And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him,” his family announced in a statement at the time.
Jones shared his kids with former spouses Jeri Caldwell, Ulla Andersson and Peggy Lipton, as well as exes Carol Reynolds and Nastassja Kinski.
In his final Instagram post before his death on November 3, 2024, Quincy celebrated his daughter Martina Jones’ 58th birthday. “Happy Birthday to my Tina Beena @martinafotos1!! ,” he captioned a sweet photo of himself and his third eldest child, whom he shared with Andersson. “So proud to be yo [sic] papa! Big hug, I love you eternally .”

Scroll down to get to know Quincy’s sprawling family:
Jolie Jones Levine
Quincy welcomed his first child with Caldwell, his high school sweetheart, in 1953. Jolie has dabbled in the entertainment industry over the years, appearing in the 1977 film Panic in Echo Park and lending her song “Take a Second Look” to the soundtrack of the 1987 movie Hunk. (Quincy and Caldwell were married from 1957 to 1966.)
Jolie shares two kids — Donovan and Sunny — with her husband, music producer Stewart Levine. Today, she raises awareness for Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), a condition she suffers from herself, which is defined by the National Library of Medicine as a “clinical syndrome characterized by the presence of a wide spectrum of non-specific multiple organ symptoms … that occur following the patient’s acute or chronic exposure to electromagnetic fields in the environment or in occupational settings.”

“Because of my experience and the knowledge gained by navigating my way through this debilitating impairment, I feel the responsibility to open up a dialog and share what I have learned in the process of my healing,” Jolie shared via her website. “Right now we are at a tipping point with the issue of biological health effects of wireless devices. New research keeps coming out showing us that there are serious health risks—that are now undeniable—from exposure to radiofrequency waves emitted by our cellphones, wifi and other wireless devices.”
Rachel Jones
Born in 1963, Rachel is Quincy’s only child with former dancer Reynolds. She did not take an interest in show business, but instead graduated from the Tuskegee University of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. The mother-of-two now owns and operates a “holistic mobile veterinary practice” in Los Angeles and New York, per her company’s website.
Rachel previously wished her dad a Happy Father’s Day via Instagram in June 2023. “Love you so very much and thank you for picking me as your daughter Pops,” she captioned a photo of the two of them.
Martina Jones
Martina is Quincy’s third eldest child and his first with Andersson, a former model turned photographer and singer-actress, to whom he was married from 1967 to 1974. Born in 1966, Martina lived with her mother in her native Sweden following her parents’ split and took on modeling.
Martina is now a photographer, just like her mom, and shares pics and clips of her daily life via social meda. Martina honored Quincy by sharing a sweet Father’s Day tribute via Instagram in June 2024, writing, “I love you as much today as did on day one … you are a huge light to not only me but to everyone that has crossed your path. I am so honored to call you my Father… love you to the moon and back … Thanks for loving me.”
Quincy Delight Jones III
Quincy shares his only son, born in 1968, with Andersson. Unlike his big sister Martina, Quincy III has followed in his dad’s musical footsteps by becoming a rapper and producer. Over the years, he has worked with artists such as Prince, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Tupac Shakur, Queen Latifah and Lionel Richie. He also produced the docuseries Beef and the Lil Wayne film The Carter through his company QD3 Entertainment.
Quincy III shares his son, Quincy Renzo Delight Jones IV, and daughter, Nea Jones, with his ex-wife, Koa Jones.
Kidada Ann Jones
Quincy wed Mod Squad actress Lipton in 1974 and the two welcomed their eldest child, daughter Kidada, that same year. Kidada studied at the Los Angeles Fashion Institute for Design and Merchandising and was a muse of legendary fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger.
She went on to work for her father’s magazine, Vibe — the final issue of which was printed in 2014 — and created her own clothing line, Kidada for Disney Couture, for The Walt Disney Company. In 2017, she authored her own young adult self-help book titled School of Awake: A Girl’s Guide to the Universe.
Kidada was married to actor Jeffrey Nash from 2003 to 2006 and has been romantically linked to Shakur, LL Cool J and Leonardo DiCaprio over the years.
Rashida Jones
Quincy and Lipton welcomed Rashida in 1976 before splitting in 1990. The Harvard University alum has become a household name over the years for her acting roles in films and shows such as Boston Public, The Office, Parks and Recreation, I Love You, Man, Angie Tribeca, The Social Network, Duncanville and Sunny.
Rashida previously dated music producer Mark Ronson, but the two split one year after their 2003 engagement. She has been with Vampire Weekend guitarist Ezra Koenig since 2015, and the two welcomed their son, Isaiah Jones Koenig, in 2018.
Kenya Kinski-Jones
Quincy welcomed his youngest child, Kenya, in 1993 with model-actress Kinski. Like many of her siblings, Kenya took on modeling after graduating with a journalism degree from Loyola Marymount University in 2015. She has been a working model ever since, working with brands such as Stella McCartney, Calvin Klein and Nasty Gal and appearing in publications such as L’Officiel, Glamour, Vogue and C Magazine. She has been dating actor Will Peltz since 2011.
Kenya took to Instagram in March 2024 to celebrate Quincy’s 91st birthday. “Yesterday we celebrated your 91st birthday always curious, full of surprises, sweet, tender, hilarious, brilliant,” she wrote alongside a sweet family snap. “You are the warm light in my life and forever precious to me. I am grateful beyond words to learn from you in this life as your daughter. Thank you. I love you, I love you, I love you.”
