Guy Sebastian has spoken out following the death of his wife Jules Sebastian’s beloved father just days ago.

The Malaysian-born Australian singer, 43, shared a powerful message as he spoke about his new song, No Reason to Stay.

No Reason to Stay is where you get to when you’re at the end of a really painful process because you’ve discovered the answer to what am I fighting for,” Sebastian said in a clip shared to his official Instagram page.

”That question we ask in friendships, we ask it in work relationships, in our love relationships, in our family relationships.”

”We’re always waiting for this thing to drop out of the sky to tell us when it’s time to make a move. Sometimes you just need to go because you’ve got no reason to stay.”

After saying her dad always had a “twinkle in his eye,” Jules went on to say how loved her was by everyone who crossed his path.

“There wasn’t a soul who knew him that didn’t love him. As this week has unfolded, I have been overwhelmed with how many people have described him as a ‘good man’. That he was. Just so good,” she said.

“What a privilege it was to be in the room as my Dad took his last breath on earth. I wish I had words to describe it, but it will have to remain as unexplainable and very special.”

She said her parents were married for a total of 51 years and called her mother “an angel on earth”.

“To say I loved my Dad is the world’s greatest understatement. He was the best Dad a daughter could ever hope for. I already miss him. Rest in eternal peace Daddy – give my big bro a squeeze from us,” she finished, adding an Irish flag on the post to represent his heritage.
