The moment Imran Khan fans had been waiting for so long is finally here. The actor is all set to make his showbiz comeback after a hiatus with a film where he will be starring opposite Bhumi Pednekar. As per sources cited by a leading publication, the shooting of the film is set to start in April.
“The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role with Imran. The pre-production work is on in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month,” said the source.

As per reports, this film is being helmed by Danish Aslam who worked with Imran on the 2010 film Break Ke Baad. The project is being produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and will be available on an OTT platform.
Imran made his debut as a child actor in his uncle Aamir Khan’s films Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. He then debuted as an adult in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na and quickly became a household name after the success of the film. Khan then went on to do several films such as Luck, I Hate Luv Stories, Break Ke Baad, Delhi Belly, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Ek Main Aur Ek Tu among others.
His last film was Katti Batti in 2015, following which he took a break.
Last year in an interview, he opened up about his break from films and said that he hit a low in 2016 where he felt broken inside. He said, “Luckily, I was working in an industry that had rewarded me financially, so by the time I was 30, I didn’t have to worry about money. At that point, it wasn’t my career because I wasn’t excited by it enough to want to work hard for it. I had recently become a father and thought, ‘This is valuable. This is something I take seriously.’ I wanted to be the best version of myself for Imara. I decided it was no longer my job to be an actor. Now, I had to fix myself; be at my healthiest and strongest for my daughter.”
