Jana Kramer believes Jason Tartick may deserve a spot in the dog house after he seemingly stole ex Kaitlyn Bristowe’s dream baby name — for his puppy.
“I so don’t want to believe that,” Kramer, 41, shared on the Sunday, April 13, episode of iHeartRadio’s “Whine Down” podcast. “I want to believe that he forgot because men are like, they forget things.”
At the same time, the former One Tree Hill star is coming to Bristowe’s defense “1,000 percent no matter what.”
“I just don’t think you forget talking about baby names with your person, do you know what I mean?” she explained. “If Allan [Russell] and I were to have a girl, one of the girl names that Mike [Caussin] and I had was Charlie. If we had a girl, I would have never named the girl Charlie because that was mine and Mike’s baby’s name.”

In the April 3 episode of her “Off the Vine” podcast, Bristowe, 39, alleged that Tartick, 36, stole her “dream baby name” when he named his golden retriever he rescued last month Teddy.
“I just have so many gross feelings from that because for so long I was made to feel crazy and now I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m not crazy,’” Bristowe said. “I just saw what other people are seeing now … I’m not fully angry, I’m just really grossed out and disappointed.”
While Tartick has not publicly commented on the reasons behind naming his dog Teddy, the former Bachelorette star was with Bristowe for four years before splitting in August 2023.
“I feel like a lot of people are going after her right now, making her feel bad about saying that,” Kramer said on her podcast. “What I don’t like reading, first of all, is how many women go and attack women in the comment section. The comments are what makes me the saddest thing of all seeing how many women talk crap on the women in those comments.”
Kramer said she could relate to Bristowe’s situation as she had a baby girl name picked out since she was in her early 20s.

While she was able to name her first daughter Jolie when she was in a relationship with Caussin, 38, she can’t imagine her ex-husband using that name with another woman.
“If Mike and I ended up staying broken up and he named his daughter Jolie, I would be pissed,” she said. “That is my name that I have had for years.”
