Khloé Kardashian reveals Keeping Up with the Kardashians was originally a show filler before its 20-season run

Khloé Kardashian has revealed a bombshell about her family’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Speaking on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, the 40-year-old revealed that their show, despite it’s worldwide success, was originally meant to be a “show filler” on E!.

The show ended up running from 2007 to 2021 for 20 seasons, but was meant to just be six episodes at first.

Now, the family have the show The Kardashians on Hulu.

“So what’s interesting is, when we started, we were just supposed to be show filler,” Kardashian said.

“I think Lindsay Lohan had a reality show that was supposed to go on E! and something happened where she scrapped it last minute and E! was like, ‘we need something filler, just six episodes…'”

“Basically, we had this show and we were told, I think the quote was, ‘don’t get too comfortable here, we’re just filler’.”

“We weren’t thinking people were going to watch this… We were just being morons, like who we are, not overthinking it and it snowballed into something really great.”

She added that sister Kourtney Kardashian sometimes gets what she says cut out of the show, because she overuses the word, ”like”.

“It’s more verbage. And she still says ‘like’ 500 times,” she said.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians helped catapult the family, consisting of Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner to international fame.
