Tributes are still flowing for Hollywood legend Robert Redford.
But this time the emotional messages are from his grandchildren, who have shared touching posts online alongside never-before-seen photos of Redford.
On Tuesday it was announced that the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid had died at 89, and his family are now mourning the loss.
Conor Schlosser – the son of Redford’s eldest daughter, Shauna Redford – posted a carousel on Instagram of special moments with Redford.
“He was larger than life to the world, but to his family, he was simply that… family. Rest in peace, Grandpa,” the 33-year-old captioned the post.
“If anyone has a favourite story of him you’d like to share, please send it to me in a private message – I’d love to collect them.”
The images gave a really intimate insight into their family life.

In one photo a young Schlosser sat on a brown horse with Redford.
Another featured the duo together sitting on a recliner opening what appeared to be Christmas presents.
He also included a much more recent photo of the pair sitting at a restaurant side by side.
Lena Redford – the daughter of Robert’s late son James Redford – also shared a tribute for her grandfather on Instagram.
She simply captioned the post with a red heart, sharing several photos of herself with the famed actor.
Some pictures were black and white throwbacks, while others were more recent.

Lena’s brother, Dylan Redford, wrote on his Instagram Stories that Robert was the “best grampa a grandson could ask for.”
“He also made amazing things, helped others make amazing things, and tried to make the world a better place.”
Redford’s publicist, Cindi Berger, announced the star had died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday and at this stage, no other details about his death are known. He was 89.

He was one of the biggest movie stars of his generation, with a string of hit films and awards to his name.
But Redford’s life was marred by tragedy, a husband and father who outlived two of his four children.
