Sharon Osbourne has spoken for the first time about her grief following the death of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, almost four months ago.
Sharon joined two of the couple’s children, Jack and Kelly, for a special episode of their popular The Osbournes Podcast – the first since the Black Sabbath frontman and reality TV star died of a cardiac arrest at his English home on July 22.
In the days that followed, Sharon cut a forlorn figure as she mourned her husband of 43 years. Now, she has spoken about his loss for the first time on-air.
The podcast, entitled Remembering Ozzy: The Osbournes Unfiltered on Grief, Legacy and Love | An Exclusive Family Tribute, was their first since September 2024.
Sharon, who was dressed in black and wearing a string of large pearls, said they decided to record the podcast because ”so many people have reached out to us”, which had been “overwhelmingly wonderful”.
She said they had read every message sent to them and appreciated the outpouring of love from Ozzy’s fans in the months since his death.
”It’s weird because you lose sense of time,” Sharon said, while Kelly added, “It’s been like no time and the longest amount of time in the world.”

Elsewhere in the podcast, Sharon revealed, “I hate going to bed at night.”
Kelly replied, “I mean, I slept with you for the first two months so that you weren’t on your own”.
Kelly said the mornings were the hardest for her, because Ozzy died in the morning and “I used to spend most of my time with Dad in the morning”.

Kelly said she had underestimated what it was like to lose someone prior to Ozzy’s death.
“I never realised just how horrible grief is,” she said.
“I never knew I was capable of loving somebody so much and missing somebody so much. I never thought there’d be a day where he wouldn’t be here.”

She also said she was grateful for her three-year-old son Sidney, and that she didn’t know what she would do without him.
“I’m just so grateful that Sidney got to meet him. And that they had such a special little relationship.
“If it wasn’t for my baby boy…” she added, before Jack, a father-of-four agreed that “having the kids has been a huge help”.
All reflected on the outpouring of love from fans, which Kelly compared to the death of Princess Diana.
“The outpouring of love has been so helpful to us and I never could have imagined it to be as helpful as it has been to know we are not alone in our grief, in our sadness, and to know the rest of the world loved him as much as we did,” Kelly said.
Jack said the reaction from fans was both “unexpected and strange”.
All agreed Ozzy would not have expected the reaction from his fans.
“He wouldn’t believe it,” Sharon said.
“He didn’t realise how much he was loved and that was his beauty because he never took it for granted from anyone. He had no idea.”
“The outpouring of love has been so helpful to us and I never could have imagined it to be as helpful as it has been to know we are not alone in our grief, in our sadness, and to know the rest of the world loved him as much as we did,” Kelly said.
