Tennis protege Cruz Hewitt is sure following in his father’s footsteps.
And on Monday, Lleyton Hewitt and actress wife Bec Hewitt looked every inch the proud parents as they stepped out at the 2025 Newcombe Medal in Melbourne with their son, 16, in a rare red carpet appearance.
At the event, Cruz scooped up the Male Junior Athlete of the Year Award.

Tennis star Alex de Minaur took home the coveted Newcombe Medal.
The family were dressed to the nines, with former world number one Lleyton, 44, looking dapper in a black suit and tie, while Cruz looked sharp in a pale beige suit.
Bec, 42, looked stylish in a dark Miu Miu slip dress and pulled her blonde locks back and off her face.

Earlier this year, Cruz made his Wimbledon debut, but soon was eliminated from the boys’ competition.
The pair also share musician daughter Mia, 19, and dancer Ava, 14.
The notoriously private couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary this year, after tying the knot in July 2005.
Bec met the Aussie tennis champion and former world no.1 when she was known to us all as Bec Cartwright and for her role on iconic soap, Home and Away.
It was a match made in heaven when they got together in the early to mid-2000s: a leading sports star and a Home and Away actress turned singer and one of the biggest names in the country at the time.

During their time together, the couple lived in the Bahamas, but recently moved back to their native Australia to put down roots in Melbourne and now Sydney.
When they celebrated their 16th anniversary in 2021, Lleyton shared a sweet tribute to his wife and wrote underneath this black and white picture of their pair: “Hard to believe it’s been 16 years….”
“Happy anniversary and Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife Bec, you’re the best!”
