Charity Pierce, who appeared on Season 3 of My 600-Lb Life, has died at age 50.
The former reality star had previously shared her battle with weight loss through the show and spent her final moments surrounded by her loved ones.
Her daughter, Charly Jo Pierce, was the one to share the news of her death in an emotional post on Facebook on January 27.
“I wasn’t going to post about this. But … the calling and texting is making my head feel like it’s on fire. Almost all immediate family knows so, my mom passed away today,” Charly wrote in the post.
“She’s up with her momma and brother and sister and she’s finally at peace.
“Charity fly high momma. I hope you know how much I love you and how grateful I was to be able to be by your side while you took your last breath.”
Charly posted the message alongside a photo of herself holding her mum’s hand.

Charity’s cousin also shared a tribute on Facebook.
“Charity Pierce, we were once very close. I hope that you knew how much you were loved and appreciated when you passed. We had many conversations, some of which were difficult, but you were a strong and courageous woman,” she wrote.
“I hope that you have found peace and solace in heaven and that you will be greeted by our loved ones with love and open arms. May God watch over you. Please let our loved ones know that I love and miss them. You will be deeply missed. I hope that you are at peace. Charity Pierce You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love you!!”
Charity had been in hospice care for around two months due to ongoing medical conditions including lymphedema and fluid build-up in her lungs, according to TMZ.
She died early Tuesday morning and the official cause of death is not known yet.

Her incredible weight loss journey was documented on the reality show My 600-Lb Life, where she worked with Houston-based bariatric surgeon Dr. Younan Nowzaradan.
She later returned for My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now?. to share an update on her journey.
After weighing close to 800 lbs. (362kg), Pierce was able to regain her independence after weight loss surgery and multiple skin removal surgeries, losing nearly 300 lbs (136kg).
