US rapper Lil Keed dies aged 24: ‘Tell me this is a dream’

US rapper Lil Keed has died at the age of 24, his brother Lil Gotit confirmed.

At the time of his death, Raqhid Jevon Render, who went by the stage name Lil Keed, was expecting a child with his girlfriend, Quana Bandz.

The rapper also shares a three-year-old child, Naychur, with Bandz.

In an emotional Instagram post, Bandz paid tribute to the rapper in a slew of photos depicting their shared moments.

She said that the tragic news had left her devastated saying she “can’t breathe” or “sleep right” without her partner.

“You told me everything I’m sooooo sorry I didn’t fly to LA,” she wrote. “I know I could’ve saved you baby you really showed me all you needed was MY LOVE you gave me that I gave you that. IM SORRY please just tell me this [is] a dream, come home.”

The circumstances surrounding the rapper’s death are unconfirmed.

Rapper Taylor Bennett also honoured Lil Keed in an Instagram post, saying, “I want us all to pay respect. It’s hard to give flowers when people are alive and I’m guilty.

“Keed you are the new sound of music surpassing hip hop and all genres.”

The rapper was perhaps best known for his features in Future’s song ‘Undefeated’ and Lil Uzi Vert’s song ‘Heavy Meta’.
